My Progress
The new system to support Academic Advising
The system will be available from Tuesday 8 September.
My Progress is Newcastle University's system to support Academic Advising. It brings together useful information and tools in one place so you can get ready for meetings with your Academic Adviser, reflect on your progress, and think about your next steps.
It can also help you understand how things are going, spot where you may need support, and make your advising conversations more useful. It’s designed to help you take a more active role in your development and make the most of your time at Newcastle University.

Who has access to the information in My Progress?
Relevant university colleagues who support your Academic Advising may have access to your My Progress information. This can include your Academic Adviser, Director of Academic Advising, and Student Wellbeing Advisers. They use this information to support conversations with you and help you get the guidance and support you need.
What is happening to NU Reflect?
NU Reflect will be decommissioned for undergraduate (UG) and post graduate taught (PGT) students. Reflection functionality, and any previously saved reflections in NU Reflect, will be available through My Progress instead. Post graduate research (PGR) students will retain access to NU Reflect for uses outside of Academic Advising.
