I am a Research Associate at Newcastle University, School of Engineering since June 2025. My research here focuses on the development of weather generator to provide projections of weather variables for the UK and Ireland by utilizing projections from CMIP6 climate models and UK Climate Projections (UKCP). I hold a bachelors and master's in civil engineering, and I earned my PhD from IIT Hyderabad with focus on urban floods where I explored the factors that drive floods over the city of Hyderabad, India. Following my PhD, I joined University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, USA as a postdoctoral researcher (from May 2024 to April 2025) where I broadly worked on climate change, specifically on rain-on-snow driven floods. With the expertise I gained from the PhD and on-going postdoctoral research I look forward to contributing to the understanding of hydroclimatic disasters and how they shape in the face of climate change.
