Professor Satnam Dlay

Professor of Signal Processing Analysis

Background

Professor Dlay holds the Chair of Signal Processing Analysis.  Currently He is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief for the journal IET Circuits, Devices & System. He has have served on several editorial boards and played an active role in numerous international conferences in terms of technical and advisory committees as well as organising special sessions. He is an EPSRC Peer Review College member and in the past has acted as an advisor to the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission.

He is a member of the Intelligent Sensing and Communications (ISC) Group and his major research interests are in mathematical theory and algorithms for data analysis. This includes areas of Machine/deep learning, biometrics, image/signal processing, security, biomedical imaging, 3D imaging and multimedia healthcare. He has an extensive portfolio of relevant research supported by a variety of funding agencies.
