He received his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada followed by a postdoctoral training in timber engineering at the University of Alberta. His current research interests include timber structures, vibration serviceability, and human movement.
Research Interests
Timber / steel structures: Connections, composite actions, lateral load resisting systems
Vibration serviceability: Lightweight timber / steel floor systems, footbridge
Solid mechanics: Analytical modelling of structural elements with complicated boundary conditions, attachments and discontinuities.
Human movement: Gait analysis under abnormal environment (e.g., vibration)
