What do the modules cover?

Modules cover diverse topics such as Caring for Collections in the Museum/Gallery, Heritage Sector, Cultural Heritage and Marketing, Critical Perspectives on Heritage Practices and Home and Heritage, History: Twentieth Century Children’s Literature.

In addition, there are multiple ways in which you can study heritage topics through extended research assignments. For example, dissertations, internships, and practice-based research in collaboration with sector partners.

Global Heritage Management MA, PGDip

Taught, full and part time, CPD - Our Heritage Studies courses will give you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skill in heritage management, heritage education, and interpretation.

Museums, Curating and Global Heritage Management MPhil, PhD

Research, full and part time - This programme enables you to carry out an original piece of research in museum, gallery, and heritage studies. As a research student you will join an interdisciplinary group of researchers and academics at the International Centre for Cultural and Heritage studies.

Heritage, Museums, and Galleries MLitt

Research, full and part time - Our flexible research programme focuses on our key research themes. These are: cultural politics and policy; identity, community and place; and representation and media.

Museum Studies MA, PGDip

Taught, full and part time, CPD - Our Museum Studies MA, PGDip will develop the practical skills needed to operate a museum, whilst engaging you with theories on the societal role of museums.

Curating Art MA, PGDip

Taught, full and part time, CPD - The Art Museum and Gallery Studies MA, PGDip provides you with the opportunity to develop skills as a curator or gallery educator in the fields of both historical and contemporary art.

Archaeology MA

Taught, full and part time - The Archaeology MA has a generic route and five specialist pathways: Prehistoric Archaeology; Greek Archaeology; Roman Archaeology; Roman Frontier Studies; and Late Antique, Medieval and Byzantine Archaeology.

Urban Planning MSc

Taught, full and part time - Our Urban Planning MSc provides a core introduction to planning issues, professional, and theoretical debates and their application to live cases and places.
