Chinese Research Lecture

Research Lecture by Professor Graham Parkes from the University of Vienna

On March 24th, Professor Graham Parkes from the University of Vienna, Austria delivered a fascinating lecture on Classical Chinese Philosophy and the Climate Crisis. The seminar-style session was a joint event organised by the Confucius Institute at Newcastle University and the Anthropocene Research Group. Hosted by the CI NU Director Andrew Law, the event attracted Newcastle University students, local scholars, and academics.

The lecture provided an opportunity to learn more about the role of Chinese philosophy in addressing pressing global issues and boasted a fairly good turnout.
