David is an Associate Professor within the Urban Energy Research Group in the School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society (EGIS) of Heriot-Watt University. With a background in building physics and energy modelling, he has been involved with EPSRC projects such as Tarbase, LCF, ARIES and the forthcoming CEDRI project in India.
A researcher at HWU since 2005, David has over 60 publications in the field of energy demand modelling, building simulation, and energy efficiency. Recent work has focussed on the application of statistical techniques for enriching understanding of energy demand data, and modelling, of buildings. He has also carried out work for Scottish and UK Government reports on low energy building policy.
