Yiji is an Assistant Professor (UK Lecturer) of Energy Conversion & Storage Systems in the James Watt School of Engineering and an Associate Fellow in the Durham Energy Institute focusing his research on the technological development of Low-Carbon Technologies including Renewable and Clean Energy Conversion, Energy Storage and Cleaner/Alternative Fuels to tackle the Climate Change challenges.

 

Yiji obtained his PhD in Energy (2016) at Newcastle University, being awarded a prestigious Outstanding Research Award for his PhD project. Dr Lu has published over 70 articles, with a current (Oct 2021) H-index of 17 according to Google Scholar.

 

Yiji is a member of the EPSRC Peer Review College. He also servers as an Editorial Member in various Energy Theme Journals such as Energy Reports (Elsevier), Thermal Science and Engineering Progress (Elsevier), Scientific Reports (Nature Research), Frontiers in Energy Research (Frontiers) and Sustainability (MDPI).

 

Yiji primarily contributes to CESI Work Packages for Work Package 2 and 3, particularly on the technological development of the Integrated Hydrogen Energy Systems.
