Tony’s research interests include CHP, trigeneration and energy storage, renewable thermal energy system design and alternative fuel use (biofuel and hydrogen). His research activities include Network H2, a large multi-disciplinary EPSRC-funded project which is looking into developing a hydrogen transport economy.

Tony is Member of the Technical Committee for Marine Systems, International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) and Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering Science and Technology (IMarEST).

Tony has authored over 200 journals and conference papers, has contributed to a number of book chapters and has secured several international patents.

Tony works on several CESI Work Packages, and is lead for Work Package 3:

• WP2 Energy Supply
• WP3 Infrastructure and Storage (Work Package Lead)
• WP7 Impact, Engagement & Management
