Staff Profile
Background
I graduated with an MLitt English Literature in 2024, and a BA(Hons) in English Literature in 2019, from the School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics at Newcastle University.
My MLitt Dissertation is titled "'My heart aches': Limits of the Human and Longing for Immortality in John Keats’s Poetry". My research interests are in the history of medicine, nature and science, and emotional response, and mental and physical wellbeing in Romantic literary networks.
Prior to working in SELLL, I have worked as a Research Support Officer in the School of Arts and Cultures, and as a Student Admissions Assistant in both PG and UG Admissions teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
My role is to provide administrative support for the running of Undergraduate programmes in the School of English Literature, Language, and Linguistics. I am primarily responsible for administering the UG assessment cycle across the school, and supporting academic staff and students on related matters. I am also responsible for tasks relating to the University's Study Abroad and Exchange programme within the School, and provide support to the Undergraduate Education Administrator for Open Days and student recruitment, and across the school office (including Reception duties).
