Research Funding Schemes

We are committed to developing the postgraduate community in the School. This is reflected in the generous research support available to our postgraduate students.

Funding

In addition to free printing and computing facilities the School provides a series of competitive support funds every semester.

All postgraduate research students are notified by email and are invited to apply for this funding three times a year. The applications are considered by a committee chaired by the PG Director and funding is awarded accordingly.

Up to £2,000 per student is available to assist postgraduates in the final stages of their PhD in circumstances of financial hardship.
