A 24-month Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Vindolanda Trust, an independent charitable organisation supporting the development and management of Vindolanda, an archaeological site located within the boundaries of the Hadrian's Wall Frontiers of the Roman Empire UNESCO World Heritage Site. This interdisciplinary project combines arts, humanities and social sciences expertise to support Vindolanda Trust to grow and innovate its cultural offer.
By placing contemporary art in a heritage setting, the Trust seeks to engage and attract new markets in the physical and digital realms. Through the development of contemporary art commissioning capability, the trust will excite and engage new audiences, diversifying and enhancing its cultural value.
The project is supported by Northumberland County Council, the Hadrian's Wall Partnership and Innovate UK.
Currently completing a PhD at University of Glasgow (with supervision support from the Glasgow School of Art) analysing the value and impact of artist residency initiatives on an artists' practice. The PhD is a 'Creative Economies' studentship funded by the AHRC, through the Scottish Graduate School of Arts and Humanities (SGSAH). The project is being delivered in collaboration with three artist residency organisations in Scotland: Bothy Project, Cove Park and The Work Room.
