EPSRC National Centre for Energy Systems seminar Rachel Hodges - Managing Director of TNEI Services

Rachel Hodges, Managing Director of TNEI Services, will be visiting us on Friday with some of her colleagues and will be giving a seminar of outlining her career to date and some of the work that TNEI does in our sector.
 
Rachel will also provide an overview of her own personal career journey to her current role and managing director of TNEI as well as an introduction to the wide ranging activities of TNEI and present some an overview of their key energy projects.
 
Rachel joined TNEI in 2005 and has over 10 years’ experience of working in the power and energy sector covering major project design and specification through to infrastructure planning. She has strong design, development, investigation and project management skills with considerable experience in business development, contract management, CDM and managing multi-functional teams with diverse skills and experience.
 
Rachel’s expertise is in concept studies, strategy, impact on policy and regulations and offshore wind, wave and tidal technologies. She has led a number of offshore wind projects, ranging from concept selection through to detailed compliance studies and this has given Rachel an in-depth understanding of the technology requirements for offshore grid development and allowed her to develop strong relationships with many of the technology suppliers and major generation developers.
 
In her role as Managing Director, Rachel is responsible for the strategic direction of TNEI, supporting our existing clients throughout their projects.
