Newcastle holds a Silver Athena SWAN award at University level and 12 departmental awards.
University award
The University has been successful in its application for an Athena SWAN Institutional Silver award. This extends our Silver accreditation to Nov 2023.

The Dean of Diversity, Professor Judith Rankin, gave a presentation on Newcastle University and Athena SWAN at the Awards Ceremony in June 2016 and is available to download.
