International Women's Day 2017

Let's All Be Bold For Change

Date/Time: Wednesday, 8th March 2017 12:45 - 14:30

Venue: The Courtyard Dining Room, Research Beehive

This year's theme for this year's International Women's Day is Be Bold for Change.

A lunchtime event was held on Wednesday the 8th of March to recognise and reward the work of staff and students across the University who have been bold for change.  Over 60 nominations were received, highlighting a range of activities across the three Faculties to promote gender equality.  The Deputy Chair of Council, Jacqui Henderson OBE, gave a speech on her experience of being bold for change.  The Executive Board lead for Diversity, Professor Phillip Wright, also congratulated the nominees on behalf of the University.

Congratulations to all our staff and students who were nominated for their work to support the strategic diversity agenda.  Click here for details of the nominations which were highlighted in our media campaign.
