Become a Reslife Student Assistant
Help students settle into accommodation, make connections, and feel part of a community. As a ResLife Student Assistant, you’ll use your own student experience to offer friendly peer support and guidance.
You’ll run drop-in sessions, activities and events in ResLife social spaces. You’ll listen to students, answer questions and signpost them to relevant support services. You’ll also promote events, create content and work with staff to refer students who need support.
You’ll develop your communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills. You’ll build confidence in solving problems, managing your time and using your initiative. You’ll also gain experience in planning activities, and handling a range of situations.
