Tackling dementia
There are approximately 850,000 people with dementia in the UK. With this number projected to increase, dementia impacts on a significant proportion of the population. Your Health and Care Ltd provides complimentary services for people suffering from dementia. Their empathic approach aims to reduce the signs of dementia, Alzheimer's and other degenerative cognitive issues. It also to provide support for carers and relatives.
The development of memory boxes
Your Health and Care Ltd created a new product called Peggi. It is a private platform that provides meaningful interaction for those considered vulnerable due to dementia and other neurological conditions.
Peggi – which is supported by an app – provides long-term storage and sharing of memories between families, loved ones and carers.
Peggi offers global connection for families where they can interact and create life storybooks as well as personalised digital and printed memory products such as:
- calendars
- photobooks
- recorded memories
- other memory and reminiscence product
As a new venture, Your Health and Care Ltd required insight to support the business’ objectives to validate their proposition for new product developments

The challenge for Your Health and Care Ltd was to find insight that would help them finalise a value proposition and get their product off the ground.
Arrow approved a project for the company to work with Newcastle University’s National Innovation Centre for Ageing (NICA).

With support from Arrow, Your Health and Care Ltd were able to formalise the initial ideas into a structured business plan. Using academic literature, NICA was able to recommend the right approach to support those suffering with Alzheimer’s.
