Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry

Background

I graduated as dentist from Dundee University Dental School and spent some years in general practice before entering the Hospital Dental Service to work as an SHO in  Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Following this I was employed as a Clinical Research Assistant at King’s College London undertaking a PhD in Prosthodontics investigating the role of surface texture measurements as a clinical indicator of erosive tooth wear (sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline). Since joining Newcastle as a Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry I have taken over leadership roles for examination, clinical studies, pastoral care and am the school's representative for Interprofessional Education. I have recently started mono specialty training in Prosthodontics.
