About Farah

I have work experience in corporate social responsibility, corporate international relations, humanitarian aid, and NGO project management from various international organisations.

Project description

My project examines the dynamics of humanitarian aid misalignment and its role in the growth of informal markets in Gaza, particularly under siege conditions following the 2023 war.

Within my study, Gaza is conceptualised as a ‘captive market’ in which aid becomes misaligned with local needs, donor-driven priorities and logistical failures. I will approach these issues by integrating policy analysis, surveys, and elite interviews in order to understand how aid policies and external control have been interacting together and impacting Gaza’s economy since October 2023.
