Clinical Academic Careers
Clinical Academic Careers
At the School of Medicine we offer students and trainees a wide range of research opportunities.
These include ‘Student Selected Component’ placements or Vacation Studentships.
We also supervise medical trainees in the Northern Academic Foundation Programme and NIHR Integrated Academic Training pathways (Academic Clinical Fellows and Academic Clinical Lecturers). These exciting programmes allow trainees to progress their academic skills and interest, whilst continuing with clinical training.
We promote a learner-centred approach, and so support students and trainees to develop a project in their area of interest.
