PARTNERS Programme Eligibility Criteria

Find out the full eligibility criteria for the PARTNERS Programme Supported Entry Route 2022 Entry.

In order to be accepted onto the PARTNERS Programme, you must:

  • have predicted grades that are within one grade of the PARTNERS offer for the course(s) you are applying for
  • be resident in the UK
  • be applying to study your first degree
  • have home student fee status*

In addition to the criteria above, you must also meet any one of the following criteria.

* The PARTNERS Programme is limited to students who are recognised as having 'home status'. Your home status must have been confirmed by the Home Office prior to applying to the PARTNERS Programme and you must meet the University's English Language requirements for the course(s) you are applying to.

** School performance data is taken from the Department for Education data (2017/18).

*** English student eligibility is determined using POLAR4 data, using Quintiles 1 and 2; and/or an IMD score of 40 or less; and/or one of the classified WP groups through ACORN. Northern Irish student postcode eligibility determined by POLAR4 data, using Quintiles 1 and 2; and/or one of the classified WP groups through ACORN. Scottish student postcode eligibility determined by SIMD40 (the 40% most deprived postcodes); and/or one of the classified WP groups through ACORN. Welsh student postcode eligibility determined by WIMD40 (the 40% most deprived postcodes); and/or one of the classified WP groups through ACORN.

**** If you are receiving a school/college discretionary payment, we consider financial hardship in this circumstance, to be from a household with an income of less than £35,000. Evidence may be requested in individual cases. Please note: we cannot take into account individual household income unless you are in receipt of a school/college discretionary payment.

***** For cases where students have experienced extenuating circumstances but do not live in a neighbourhood which has a high level of financial, economic or social deprivation we will consider their circumstances on an individual basis. Students should contact the PARTNERS team in this case.
