PARTNERS Programme Eligibility Criteria

Find out the full eligibility criteria for the PARTNERS Programme Supported Entry Route 2022 Entry.

In order to be accepted onto the PARTNERS Programme, you must:

  • Have predicted grades that are within one grade of the PARTNERS offer for the course(s) you are applying for
  • Be resident in the UK
  • Be applying to study your first degree
  • Have home student fee status

The PARTNERS Programme is limited to students who are recognised as having 'home status'. Your home status must have been confirmed by the Home Office prior to applying to the PARTNERS Programme and you must meet the University's English Language requirements for the course(s) you are applying to.

In addition to the criteria above, you must also meet any one of the following criteria.

Key educational times

We define key educational time as the study periods which affect the completion of your GCSE and/or A-level qualifications (or equivalent).

British Armed Forces

The British Armed Forces consist of:

  • Royal Navy, Royal Marines, British Army, Royal Air Force, Regular Reserves, Volunteer Reserves and Sponsored Reserves

Evidence required

Most eligibility criteria are confirmed via referee approval of a completed PARTNERS application form, alongside an applicant's UCAS application. We require evidence to be submitted for the following eligibility criteria:

  • Recognised Carer
  • Estranged Student

You may also be asked to provide evidence on a case-by-case basis. Examples of acceptable evidence include:

  • Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Carer’s Allowance statement/letter
  • Carer’s support group
  • Social Services/Local Authority
  • Your relative's NHS or Private Support Worker
  • A letter from your GP
  • estranged student support group/network, such as StandAlone or the Unite Foundation
  • social Services/Local Authority
  • A statement from your school/college
  • A headed letter from a professional body.
