Nikon SMZ25

Nikon SMZ25

Modalities: upright, stereo, fluorescence

Overview

This SMZ25 stereomicroscope belongs to Nikon's newly developed series. This microscope features a large zoom ratio of 18:1, high resolution and exceptional fluorescence transmission capability to respond to an increasing demand for imaging systems that require spatial scales from single cells to whole organisms.

Nis-Elements software enables a wide range of advanced digital imaging capabilities with this system.

Nikon has improved the signal and reduced the noise in fluorescent images by using a short wavelenght, high transmission lens. Combined with an innovative epi-fluorescence attachment, the SMZ25 is better able to detect excitation light than conventional fluorescent stereo microscopes.

This system is equipped with a tiltable stage, ring fibre light and fluorescence illumination options and polarising adapters. A DS-Ri2 16MP Colour camera attached to the system with the option of adding a more sensitive (for fluo) Q-Imaging Rolera EM-C2 camera.
