Healthy Lifestyle Advisor

I’m currently working as a Healthy Lifestyle Advisor, a role that involves supporting people across the community to live healthier, more active lives. I work jointly for the local council and the NHS, delivering a range of services including adult weight management sessions, falls prevention programmes, and maternity-focused “Mums and Bumps” sessions. I also work in GP surgeries and hospitals across the county, supporting Tier 3 weight management referrals. I meet with clients, gather key information, and help guide them onto the most suitable pathway — whether that’s a medical or physical approach to weight loss. Since starting in this role, I’ve gained new qualifications that have really strengthened my CV and allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. Studying Sport and Exercise Science really laid the foundation for this work. It gave me a strong understanding of how the body works, how to support behaviour change, and how to apply evidence-based approaches to improve physical health. That background has been essential in helping clients achieve sustainable, healthy outcomes.

Daisy graduated in July 2023 with a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science.
