Our outstanding learning and teaching environment provides research-led undergraduate degrees.

About us

The School of Biomedical, Nutritional and Sport Sciences is part of the Faculty of Medical Sciences. We're located in the Medical School building (location 60 on the campus map).

The School is made up of three subject divisions:

Degree programmes

We offer a range of excellent degree programmes in each of these subject areas.

We provide research-led education that equips our graduates for a wide range of professional careers.

The School is home to a core team of academic, administrative and technical staff dedicated to supporting all aspects of our degree programmes.

Research

Research staff from the Faculty of Medical Sciences Research Institutes teach at all levels of our degrees.

We introduce students to the latest developments and innovations in their fields.

Students have the opportunity to be part of one of these research teams at some point in their university career. This can include:

  • a summer placement in a Research Institute
  • work as a part-time lab assistant
  • joining a team for your final year research project
