Placements and internships
Professional year placements are a fantastic way to gain vital work experience and improve your employability following graduation.
Studying Sports and Exercise Science at Newcastle University gives you the opportunity to complete a placement year between your second and third years of study.
Students on our programme have completed placements in various places, including Ealing Trailfinders Rugby, Newcastle Falcons Rugby, Cheshire Cricket, Southampton FC, and John Lewis, amongst others.
More opportunities
Throughout your degree, you may also want to complete a summer placement or internship. Examples of places where our students have completed internships are Morpeth Town AFC and Tonus Tech, or received a summer internship grant from the Physiological Society to conduct a research experiment.
The Careers Service offer several internships and will help support you in finding one to suit your skills and interests.
