Applying
If you don't meet our entry requirements, you can start by doing a Foundation Programme in Biomedicine, Biology and Pharmacy.
INTO Newcastle University offer this programme.
You must complete the foundation programme and meet the progression criteria. Then, we can guarantee you a place on any of our undergraduate programmes.
During the programme, you’ll see our taught sessions, meet staff and students, and tour our facilities.
We offer direct admission to the second year of our undergraduate degree programmes. You must hold a relevant Diploma course in a related subject from a Polytechnic University abroad, and a GPA of at least 3.2.

English requirements
If you're a non-native English speaker, you need to give evidence of your English language ability. You'll need a minimum IELTS of 6.5 overall, and no less than 6.0 in each element or equivalent.
The University offers English language training before your course begins. We also provide language support while you're studying.
International partner institutions
We are happy to consider students from certain courses at our Partner Institutions for direct entry into Stage 2 or Stage 1 of our programmes.
Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia
The BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences degree is also offered as a 2+1 at our Malaysian Campus (NUMed) and completed in Newcastle.
