Induction 2025

Welcome to the Dental Sciences Induction page

Welcome

We hope you're looking forward to joining us as a new student at Newcastle University. You will be joining a friendly and engaged academic community of learners and professionals. We are here to support you as you take on the next stage of your education to become a dental care professional.

Induction starts on Monday, 15 September 2025 for all new and returning students. This one-week induction period will give you a chance to get to know the University, the school, and your programme of study. Attending your induction sessions is important so you can make the most out of everything on offer to you.

In addition, there are a range of forms that you will need to complete over the next few weeks before you join us which we will email to you. Please check your emails regularly to make sure you do not miss them.

Please also make sure to read our Student Welcome pages which will give you all of the information you need and what to do before starting.

Teaching will start on Monday, 22 September 2025.
