Our vision is of Newcastle as a world-leading University, advancing knowledge, providing creative solutions and solving problems.

*Please note the following clarification: All students are expected to be respectful of other students and staff, including while engaging in academic debates that concern views held by other students or staff.*

This vision is based firmly on our core values:

  • Equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Social and environmental justice
  • Respect for academic freedom

It is also informed by three aspirational values that guide everything we do:
