Maths Ambassadors

Our Maths Ambassadors support fellow students in developing their mathematical and numerical skills.

The role entails creating and reviewing maths-related resources for students, as well as hosting drop-in sessions to offer maths support and dedicated sessions on maths-related issues. This is a rewarding role which allows those more confident in maths and numeracy to help fellow students develop their own confidence and abilities.

What our past Maths Ambassadors had to say about the scheme

Connor, 2023-2024

"As a Maths Ambassador the key part of my role was to host and organise drop-in sessions for students, this included creating resources such as worksheets as well as communicating my knowledge of maths succinctly. Another responsibility of this role was to test new resources that had been made to help students and critically appraise them before being released to the wider student body. Working in a team of three meant communicating plans and splitting up work was key to success in this role.

I enjoyed the opportunity to share my passion for maths with other students. This role helped me to improve my communication skills as well as push myself to have a deeper understanding of maths."
