Module 5: Images and Videos

Overview

This final module contains two training videos and one assessment form. It will help you get started in our content management system, Terminal 4.

What you'll learn in this module

They key things you'll learn in Module 5 are:

  • How to prepare images and documents
  • How to upload images and PDF documents to the media library
  • How to embed images and PDF documents into your web pages
  • How to add content from YouTube and Soundcloud

Time needed to complete this module

You'll need to set aside about 30 minutes to complete this module. The breakdown of activities is as follows: 

  • 6 minutes: How to use the media library, training video
  • 4 minutes: How to use external media, training video
  • 10 - 20 minutes: An assessment with a mixture of multiple choice and true/false questions

Before you begin 

When you log into the Terminal 4 system for the first time, you'll only see one website - this is the 'Staff Sandbox' site that you can use throughout the training process. Request a login to the Staff Sandbox.

The following video, External Media, will cover how to add content that is not on a university server (such as YouTube, SoundCloud or ISSUU) to your website.
