You should have watched all our T4 Training videos and completed the online assessment for each module. Now you can practice in T4 using our T4 Training Exercises‌ (PDF: 459KB).

What you'll learn 

The key things you'll do in our T4 Training exercises‌ are:

• create a new section in T4
• practice how to add content, a link, an image, a document and external media
• use tabbed content
• add news and events
• create a staff profile, add keywords to create A-Z lists and staff by roles

You can complete these exercises in your own time.

Login to T4

If you haven't already, contact us for a login to our T4 training site - Staff Sandbox.

T4  is browser-based and can be found at http://cms.ncl.ac.uk

When you log in, you'll see one section in the Site Structure called Staff Sandbox. This is the site for practical T4 training.

To help you, re-watch the relevant videos. You may like to use our T4 Moderator Guide (PDF: 1.3MB) for reference.

Let us know when you've completed all five modules and the practical exercise. We'll be back in touch with your results. 

You cannot have access to edit a live website until your practical exercises are complete and they have been assessed.

Following successful completion, we'll give you access to your live T4 site.
