The links on this page provide information on the student support available to our students from the School and wider University.

Financial support

If students require financial support they can find lots of information on the Student Financial Support website. This includes information on scholarships, loans and other sources of funding. The Student Financial Support team is also available to book 1:1 appointments.

Tuition fee support information is available the Tuition fee website alongside student loan guidance.

Additional support services

There are a range of support services available at the university that can offer you tailored support. Click through the links below for more information

  • Student Advice Centre - offers support, independent from the university, on academia, housing, finance, personal support, employment and consumer rights.
  • Careers Service - provide career information and guidance for current students and recent graduates.
  • IT Service - offers help and support on a range of IT-related issues, including email, Canvas and more.
  • Chaplaincy - offers faith and spirituality support to students and staff of all faiths, or none.
  • Student Mobility and Integration team - offers support and advice to incoming and outgoing exchange and study abroad students.
  • Student Staff Committee - your SELLL student course reps are here to raise any student ideas or challenges with the Committee and bring about actual, meaningful change.
  • Language Resource Centre - offers language support to students, including English and over 100 modern foreign languages.
  • Academic Skills Team - offers advice and guidance on writing for assessment and other study skills.
  • Nightline - a confidential and anonymous listening and information service run by students.
  • Student's Union (NUSU) - offer a huge range of support services and resources.
