About Daoud

I'm a PhD Candidate in Human Geography at Newcastle University. I received my BA in Political Science, and MA in Jerusalem Studies from Al Quds University.

I have experience working in different fields, including research and administrative jobs with local Palestinian and international organization. I also worked as a tour guide for more than 10 years.

Project description

The research examines the emerging geographies of colonialism and resistance in Jerusalem.

It does so by explicating the historical geography of the city, focusing and comparing between two neighbourhoods: Silwan and Sheikh Jarrah, examining the colonial power, and exploring the Palestinian responses to colonial polices in the city.
