Originally from Derby, I graduated from Liverpool University in 2011. I completed my foundation training in Carlisle before working in Nelson, New Zealand and Chembe, Malawi. I returned to the UK in 2014 to complete Acute Care Common Stem Anaesthesia Core training.
I moved back to Cumbria in 2017 to start work as a Clinical Teaching Fellow before taking up a post as a Specialty Doctor in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care and Undergraduate Clinical Tutor in 2019.
In 2021 I was appointed the Local Education Provider (LEP) Lead for North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, having responsibility for the Newcastle University undergraduate programmes running here.
