Why did you chose to study Law at Newcastle University?

I went for an interview and was impressed with both the City and the University.

What did you like the most about your course?

Quality of the teaching and variety of options.

How would you describe the city of Newcastle Upon Tyne?

A really lively and vibrant city to study in.

Please give a brief description of your career journey since graduating from Newcastle University.

Law School Chester, Training contract Nottingham to qualify as a solicitor. Personal Injury specials, Partnership at East Midlands firm (Ironsides now Nelsons) aged 29, stayed there until 2010 when moved to Shoosmiths as Partner in PI team.

How has your time studying Law, and other activities, at Newcastle University contributed to you achieving your career goals?

Law degree led to me deciding to become a solicitor and set me on the path to train to become a solicitor.

In a one line quote, sum up why you would encourage a prospective student to study law at Newcastle?

Excellent Law School and fantastic city to live and study in. My eldest son is thinking of studying there on my recommendation!
