Thattaporn Lekhawatthanapong - LLM, International Business Law (2013)
Thattaporn Lekhawatthanapong - LLM, International Business Law (2013)It is one of the most life-challenging, but memorable, moments I have ever come across, to have achieved a master degree of law (LL.M. International Business Law in 2013) from The University of Newcastle.
I am now a first-year Ph.D. law student, specialized in copyright law and fully funded by The University of Nottingham.
A grant of such funding opportunity is considered by the committee, whereby an emphasis is principally placed on the Master background, including dissertation and overall score.
I would thus never have come this far had Newcastle not given me such an opportunity to experience not only an unforgettable warm hospitality from the Toon, but also such a fascinating and inspiring learning environment in the University, school of law in particular, throughout my Master.
Despite all the interesting modules provided therein, it was primarily due to the fact that the Intellectual Property Module was incorporated with numerous intriguing topics that gave me a particular interest in carrying on doing my Ph.D. with the title of ‘The Statutory ground of Public Interest Defence in International Copyright Regime’.
As far as the prospective career is concerned, I am motivated to be in an area of legal academia or lawyers in the UK.
