The University's international student pages provide extensive information about undergraduate fees, language requirements, accommodation and the support we offer. The University offers some undergraduate scholarships for international students.
English Language Requirements
Law is a teaching subject which requires an excellent command of language.
Newcastle Law School requires that international applicants achieve an IELTS score of 7.0.
International LLB Scholarships
We are committed to awarding outstanding achievement and attracting students of the highest calibre from around the world so we offer an International LLB Scholarship.
This is a competitive scholarship based on academic merit, achievement and potential; evidence of which will be derived from the candidate’s application information.
Financial circumstances of the candidates are not taken into account.
International Student Tutor
You bring vibrancy and a wealth of experience to our Law School community and we've developed services specific to international students to match.
Central to these services is the International Student Tutor, a member of staff dedicated to supporting international undergraduates.
One-to-one Student Mentoring
We have pioneered the idea of relying upon our existing students to provide additional support for our international students.
Under the Student Mentoring Scheme all international students will receive support from a trained student mentor, providing a friendly and informal point of contact to help you settle into life in Newcastle.
The mentoring scheme was initiated as a pilot project in September 2008 and the feedback received by both mentors and mentees have been so positive that this programme will become a tier of the International Student Intensive Guidance and Development Programme.
In 2008, the Law School's Internal Subject Review commended the peer mentoring scheme as exemplary practice.
