I particularly enjoyed the application of knowledge throughout the degree programme. Through my placement experience, I found many scenarios in which I could apply the knowledge from lectures and further reading into real-world situations which helped reinforce my knowledge.
My current role was offered to me as a result of my performance throughout my placement at the company. I signed the contract during my final year and started straight after graduating.
Industrial placement talks and workshops were a great way to meet former placement students and get a better understanding of their roles throughout their years out. These were also a great way to get a list of companies and job roles available.
My current role involves managing clinical data which regularly requires skills and knowledge from my degree programme. This can range from understanding a list of patient medications, analysing a set of vital signs, or reading through a trial protocol to understand the techniques applied to a new medication.
