Dental School Winners

Congratulations to the Dental School winners of the Newcastle University Student Union (NUSU) Student Rep Awards 2021 - Holly Murphy (School Rep UG of the Year) and Khaleel Shazada (EDI or E&S Rep of the Year).

Special mentions also must go to runners up - Nicola Wade and Nathan Nagar (School Rep PG of the Year) and Sohum Pandya (Liberation Officer of the Year).

Consistent success

As a School we have been incredibly successful in these awards over the years (list of Student Rep Award winners from the last three years). We have a culture in the School where students are encouraged to speak to each other and to staff about their learning experience. Consistent improvement to our courses needs collaboration with those who experience them, one of the reasons the student voice is so important.

Student Representation is a key part of how we engage with students. Newcastle University aims to ensure that every student is represented in institutional decision-making processes and that every student can contribute to the enhancement of their programme and learning experience.

Testament to all the hard work of our student representatives and the way the School functions as a collegiate and collaborative community of learners.
