Staff Profile

I work as part of the Doctoral College team within the Student Progress Service with the Doctoral College Strategy Manager (Lesley Jackson) and the Senior Student Policy Manager (Nicky Houghton). The aim of the Doctoral College is to act as a hub for our PGR students, and, through working collaboratively with colleagues and our student community across the University, develop a holistic and comprehensive offering that nurtures our PGR community, giving them the opportunities to thrive and succeed and support their experience at Newcastle University.

I support the administrative processes for activities carried out by the Doctoral College including: -

• Doctoral College Research Enhancement Funding including Covid 19 Impact funding
• Approval in Principle process for Postgraduate Occasional Research Students
• Working with the PGR Deans on PGR Strategic Development Projects
• Updating the Doctoral College webpages
• Providing financial reports and enabling students to access funding

City & Guilds Level 5 Professional Recognition Award (Affliateship) in Leadership and Management

AUA Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration, Management and Leadership (Commendation)

MSc Human Resource Management
