Postgraduate study in data science

Alongside the School of Computing, we're training the next generation of data scientists.

The Data Science (with Specialisation in Statistics) MSc blends modern statistical methods with the computational skills essential for handling large quantities of unstructured data. It will give you the expertise to solve real-world problems and realise data-driven insights for organisations.

Cloud Computing for Big Data

Since 2014, the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Cloud Computing for Big Data has funded over 50 PhD scholarships. It's equipped graduates with the expertise to answer a global skills shortage.

Following on from this success, the future of the CDT will be funded by investment from Newcastle University and industry partners. It will continue to provide a bespoke training and research programme with strong cohort interactions and industry links to develop future leaders in data analytics.
