Your Smartcard contains a photograph and brief details including your name, unique student number and library number. It confirms your student registration and identity.
You will need your Smartcard to:
- confirm your registration
- receive your student loan
- collect a council tax certificate
Collecting your Smartcard is the final step in the registration process, after you have confirmed your identity and immigration status and paid your tuition fees. You are not fully registered until you have your Smartcard.
The name on your Smartcard will be the same as the name on your identification documentation.
If you lose your card, there is a charge for replacement.
