Law Research Supervision and Training

As a postgraduate researcher, many support services and opportunities are available to you.

Your supervisors

When you start your research degree we'll assign you two supervisors. They will support you throughout your research degree. They'll oversee your research and offer advice.

You will meet with your supervisors on a regular basis to discuss your progress.

Training and development

You will have the opportunity to complete two research training programmes:

  • HASS Faculty
  • Law School

Satisfactory completion of the School and HASS Faculty programmes is a pre-requisite. This enables formal progression for PhD and MPhil students from year one to year two.

Satisfactory completion of both is a pre-requisite for LLM (by research) students. This enables formal progression from year one to two.
