Current Role

My teaching career began more than ten years ago and has taught several subjects in degree courses such as Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Technology and MBBS. Currently, I am a senior lecturer at Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia where I am the Unit leader and lecturer for Clinical Pharmacology, Therapeutics and Prescribing for MBBS degree programme and also the module leader and lecturer of Pharmacology for Biomedical Sciences (BMS). I am also involved in teaching other units of MBBS programme such as Clinical skills, Communication skills, Patient, Doctor & Society and others. Apart from teaching, I am also active in administrative roles such as Academic Mentor lead for both Year & 2 MBBS, NUMed Peer mentor Staff coordinator, Medical Learning Environment (MLE) lead, Interprofessional Education lead and currently the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs for NUMed MBBS Programme. Externally, I am a member of the Senior Fellow Network working group in Malaysia.
