NUMed Research Clinic 2024/2025

We are pleased to announce that registration for the NUMed Research Clinic 2024 - 2025 (October - December 2024) is now open to all staff and students. The Research Clinic is designed to provide support in various research-related aspects, enabling us to further our shared goals and ambitions. The details of the Research Clinic are as follows:

    (9th October, 6th November & 11th December 2024)
  • A limited number of slots are open every Friday afternoon by request

APME-Net Writing Retreat 2024

The Asia Pacific Medical Education Network (APME-Net) and Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed), will held the APME-Net Writing Retreat 2024. The retreat will take place as per details below: 
 
      Date: 14th  - 15th  November 2024 (Thursday - Friday)
      Time: 8.00 am - 5.30 pm 
      Venue: Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed), Iskandar Puteri, Johor
 
Aims and outcome of the Writing Retreat
  • To enhance the knowledge in developing high-quality research proposals and manuscripts in educational research
  • To encourage the participants in formulating proposals and manuscripts with the aim of submitting and publication in health professions education journals.
  • To guide participants in identifying the appropriate journals for the publication of the manuscripts

How?   
This retreat will provide protected and dedicated time for the participating academic staff with feedback and guidance from the facilitators to develop manuscripts based on their educational research projects.
What happens?        
During this two-day retreat, authors and coauthors will primarily engage in developing their manuscripts from already collected educational research data. The facilitators will provide feedback at different stages during the process.
What to  prepare?
Prepare draft manuscript or research proposal to present to facilitators for their feedback.
Facilitators
The facilitators are from Asia Pacific Medical Education Network (APME-NET) senior faculties with experience and international standing in Health Professions Education.
 
For those who intersted, please register at APME-Net Writing Retreat 2024 and please note that the registration will close on 18th October 2024. Organising Committee will assist with accommodation bookings at Fraser Place Puteri Harbour, and participants will be entitled to the NUMed corporate rate.
