Staff Profiles
Samuel Allenby
Education Assistant
I'm one of the Education Assistants for History, Classics and Archaeology. I joined the School in September 2025. I work within a team of three Education Assistants, working under the direction of the Education Coordinator. My main responsibilities include processing all assessment marks and feedback, preparing for the boards, helping with general enquiries from staff and students, processing PEC applications and a multitude of other behind-the-scenes administrative tasks throughout the year.
I graduated from Newcastle University in 2019 with a BA History degree, and later in 2021 with an MA History degree. In my studies at Newcastle University, I largely focussed on Early Modern English witchcraft, gender and magic, and I continue to research this area of history in my own time. Since graduating, I've worked largely in charity, heritage and creative arts sectors, helping to promote the importance of diversity, heritage and creativity across the North East.
