Staff Profiles
Background
I am the Archaeology Manager at the British School at Rome (BSR).
My research interests lie in landscape archaeology and Roman urbanism, in particular its investigation through geophysical prospection. I have led surveys and excavations for the BSR throughout Italy and the wider Mediterranean area. Currently our major research project is at Falerii Novi, a joint excavation between the BSR, Harvard and Toronto Universities.
At Newcastle, I am an investigating partner in the ERC-funded Rome Transformed Project.
As well as an elected member of ICCOM, I am currently Honorary Secretary of the International Society of Archaeological Prospection and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries.
