Accommodation Payments

Information regarding applying for accommodation and pricing is relevant for the 2024/25 academic year and will be subject to change for 2025/26 entrants. Updated details will follow this spring.

Once you've signed your accommodation contract you're responsible for your paying rent. Here you will find the information that you need to choose your payment method and schedule. You can also find out how to pay from an overseas bank account as well as how to pay for our managed partner accommodation.
 
If you’re a UK student, you will receive your student loans in three instalments. Consider setting aside funds for your accommodation expenses straight away, so that you're always able to pay your rent. If you need advice on managing your money at University, Student Financial Support can help

Is there financial support available?

The Student Financial Support Team can offer advice and guidance on budgeting, money management, and financial assistance. Impartial advice is also available from is also available from  Information Now, Welfare Rights, Step Change, National Debtline, Money Helper or the local Citizens Advice Bureau. 

What payment options are available for accommodation payments?

There are different options available for paying for your accommodation including paying in advance or paying by Direct Debit installments. These options will differ depending on whether you’re in University-owned, managed partnership accommodation, or private housing. Find out more about Payment Methods

What happens if I miss a payment?

If you think you might miss a payment, are experiencing financial difficulties, or have a failed Direct Debit, please contact us as soon as possible at Accommodation.Finance@ncl.ac.uk.

We’ll work with you to discuss your situation and explore the options available - our aim is to help you avoid additional charges wherever possible.
