Leaving Us

We are committed to providing you with the information and guidance you need for a smooth transition out of University accommodation.

Whether you're at the end of your contract, reviewing options for the next year, or leaving early, we’re here to help.

Contract ending

When your contract ends, you must follow specific procedures when leaving our accommodation. These details can be found in the Residents' Handbook. You can also find more details in our departure checklist

Leaving early

Your contract with us does not include a notice period. This means that if you decide to leave earlier, you will be responsible for paying rent until the contract ends. If you find a replacement, they can take over your contract and payments if they are not already contracted for University accommodation.

Withdrawing from University

If you withdraw from the University, it is your responsibility to let us know. Your school won’t tell us, so you need to keep us informed. Liability terms vary for students living in partnership accommodation. Contact your accommodation provider for more information.

Moving out

All good things must end, and soon it will be time for you to depart from your accommodation. You will receive an email from our Customer Services team with more information about the moving-out process. If you have any queries, please get in touch.

We recommend that you read the Residents' Handbook for University-owned facilities and use our departure checklist for tips on moving out.
