The Careers Service was delighted to be able to welcome local businesses into the newly launched King's Gate Level 1 space for the monthly NE1 networking event on the 24th June. Guests were able to take a tour of the new space and meet with teams to find out more about how they can work with the Careers Service.
Attendees heard from Chris Traynor, Senior Manager of Careers and Employability about key updates from Newcastle University Careers Service and Dr Lucy Hatt, MBA Programme Director in Entrepreneurial Education, shared information about opportunities for businesses to engage through the MBA programme at Newcastle University Business School.
We also heard from Drew Dalton, CEO of ReportOUT, about the "Safer To Be Me" Global Conference. The conference is an international event on LGBTQIA+ rights being hosted across Newcastle this October. It will be the first global conference, bringing more than 500 people to the region and will take place across venues including the Assembly Rooms.
